Q: Does it work with Apple Carplay?
A: Yes! We have a separate app version for CarPlay called Speaking Email CP.
Features
Both the regular and CP versions work via CarPlay for playback, voice commands/dictation, current track display and bluetooth-style controls (steering wheel buttons and onscreen buttons).
Speaking Email CP app has the additional features of an app icon on CarPlay and inbox track listing & menus.
However, unfortunately due to policy changes at Apple on allowed usage of CarPlay (you can now order pizza on CarPlay but cannot check your email), our app is no longer allowed to receive major updates, and as a result some features are frozen. This means only the regular app supports recent features incluing the latest Microsoft365 sign-in flow and the capability to listen while it is talking (letting you interject to say a command). Most other features work the same though, including sign-in for Gmail and other account types.
Pricing
Both apps are free for basic usage and have premium options. The regular app is subscription based for all features. Speaking Email CP has no subscription but only one-off extras you can purchase to enable specific features.

What is Speaking Email?
An app for iPhone and Android that reads your email out loud to you. It intelligently extracts content from emails (minus the signatures, disclaimers and threads). And it lets you action your email - archive, mark-as-read, trash, flag, reply, or forward. It can be completely by voice command, or use the large on-screen buttons or full screen touch gestures.
