Q: How to enable Office 365 Direct access to corporate mail?
A: Speaking Email has special features to enable support for Microsoft Office 365, via several connectors. The primary we call Office 365 Direct.
Depending on your Azure AD policies you may need to have Azure tenant admins provide permission to access corporate email. In this case a Microsoft screen will appear saying "Need admin approval".
To do this, your Azure admin can either add from the Azure App Gallery under Enterprise Apps, or grant permission via consent links.
Click here to grant required permissions to Speaking Email.
The permissions it needs are:
- Exchange Online
You should be directed to sign in to the Azure portal under the correct user account and then see a prompt similar to the following.
For more information about consenting app permissions, see this Microsoft article.
What is Speaking Email?
An app for iPhone and Android that reads your email out loud to you. It intelligently extracts content from emails (minus the signatures, disclaimers and threads). And it lets you action your email - archive, mark-as-read, trash, flag, reply, or forward. It can be completely by voice command, or use the large on-screen buttons or full screen touch gestures.
Who is it for?
People with blindness or visual impairment. People who are busy and run out of time to get through their inbox. People who want to make productive use of time when driving between appointments.
