Q: Speech garbled, seems to be reading insanely fast
A: Hi, yes this fast gibberish being spoken is an issue with ios 16. It will hopefully be fixed with the latest update (not sure if it has been yet). You can fix it by selecting a different voice in speaking email preferences - voices - choose a different 'announcer' and 'english reader' voice.
Alternatively if re-download the voices in system settings - accessibility - voices, this will also fix the issue.
