How do I set up an Xtra account?

A: If you are setting up Speaking Email with Xtra (New Zealand email addresses), you need to use the IMAP account set up. Speaking Email should bring up these settings automatically, but if not, you can enter them in IMAP account settings.

• Incoming Mail Server: imap.xtra.co.nz
• Incoming port: 993
• Username: Your full email address, for example, joe.bloggs@xtra.co.nz

Some Xtra accounts may have migrated to Yahoo and not come back to NZ. If you have one of these, then click 'Add Yahoo Mail' account.

An app for iPhone and Android that reads your email out loud to you. It intelligently extracts content from emails (minus the signatures, disclaimers and threads). And it lets you action your email - archive, mark-as-read, trash, flag, reply, or forward. It can be completely by voice command, or use the large on-screen buttons or full screen touch gestures.
