Out Loud app vs Speaking Email for reading out email on Android

Q: What is the difference between Speaking Email and Out Loud app?

A: There have been some good reviews of Out Loud, an Android app that reads your notifications out loud. Out Loud speaks email notifications, but not the email content itself.

Speaking Email is just for email and it lets you listen to the full contents of your email messages (while skipping disclaimers and signatures). It also continuously plays all emails in your inbox, making it a great tool to get up to speed on your latest emails hands free. Speaking Email lets you reply, and forward, as well as archiving or moving mail into another folder. You can even listen to mail in any of your folders or compose new mail.

What is Speaking Email?

An app for iPhone and Android that reads your email out loud to you. It intelligently extracts content from emails (minus the signatures, disclaimers and threads). And it lets you action your email - archive, mark-as-read, trash, flag, reply, or forward. It can be completely by voice command, or use the large on-screen buttons or full screen touch gestures.

Who is it for?

People with blindness or visual impairment. People who are busy and run out of time to get through their inbox. People who want to make productive use of time when driving between appointments.
